Love It or Leave It?

It can be really hard as an entrepreneur to know when to persevere and when to let go. On one hand, I truly believe that a lot of people give up on ideas before they're about to come to fruition. On the other hand, I also believe things should - can - flow effortlessly and don't have to be so hard.
Being an entrepreneur does require effort though. We are constantly testing new ideas and determining what is viable for our own businesses and clients. However, it's important to be aware of bright-red-shiny-object syndrome and resist the urge to jump from one idea to the other. We all have it and it's okay. Just being aware of this will make a huge difference. If you don't see each idea through, then you won't know if it will give you the results you want. I suggest to my personal clients that they choose 3 to 5 projects to focus on and see through to completion. The number really depends on how busy you are and what is involved for each project. A great rule of thumb is to choose ideas that you are passionate about and that are the most lucrative and easiest to implement.
What you likely know all too well is that sometimes these ideas just don't pan out the way you would like. Meaning you don't get the results you want. You've done everything you can to make it a success. This is okay. Please don't "leave" your business. All kidding aside, this is a real issue that many of you face. You have implemented your ideas and when they don't work out, you feel discouraged and start questioning why you're even in business. Please don't give up. With a few tweaks, you will get on track.
The answer is a tweak in attitude and mindset. When something doesn't work, it doesn't mean you failed. Look at anything that you do as a learning experience. You are seeing what works and what doesn't. Nothing more - and you don't need to judge it. Just move on.
The other idea is to look at what's flowing. It's possible that this can be easy! Ideas can flow and come to fruition without a lot of effort - however, this doesn't mean you don't have to do anything! It just means that the ideas, people, circumstance and events you need in order to achieve your goals line up easily. There is a catch to this though. You have to not only be willing and open to receive these ideas - meaning you notice the opportunities all around you - you also have to take action. If you're skeptical or feeling negative in any way, you will not notice all of the options that are available to you right now. It's that simple. When you're positive and believe you will be shown the way, you will notice the opportunities that will take you there. It's all about staying positive and having faith. I've been speaking about how the subconscious gets in our way - and that is a whole other article - but just know this part of your brain likes to keep you safe and secure. It doesn't want you to do new things that stretch you out of your comport zone, and therefore, it does everything in its power to keep you playing small. Notice when these thoughts creep in, and do whatever you need to do to move past these negative thoughts and feelings. I sometimes like to scream out loud. It helps me break-up the negative energy and it's basically me saying a big f-you - I'm not listening! It's a good thing I work from home.
However, if things aren't flowing, it doesn't necessarily mean you're on the wrong path. You could just be making it harder for yourself because of the mind frame you're operating from. I'm convinced I could have moved to California a whole lot sooner if I hadn't let negative feelings of guilt and doubt hold me back. If it's something you're passionate about, it's worth pursuing, and the faster you can get out of your own way, the better. Try asking for a shift in perspective about whatever problem you're facing. It works every time. You will have clarity and know which way to go.
When you truly act like your success is certain and operate from a place of love and service, you will think about what your clients need first and not what you're trying to get. This is when the miracles will start to flow!
